Mike Shaffer Web Development at U of I

For those of you looking for additional web help, this is the response I received from a CS major. "You could ask the Webmonkeys SIG (part of the ACM) ... but generally, if there is no $$$ involved, the responses can be sparse." (ACM= Association for Computing Machinery, SIG= Special Interest Groups) While the easiest method would be to contact a CS club, there might not be as much luck. Ranny Ma interesting facts

hey guys, I was reading a book called paranoia by daniel and jason freeman and they mentioned several interesting surveys on AIDS. They might be able to bring other large sponsors on board too. As we've heard over and over, it is important to celebrate small wins so we don't get discouraged with the amount of work involved in our projects and in working for nonprofits in general. This is a huge step forward for us so we wanted to share our small win with the rest… Continue

Lusiana Hadi Inequality in U.S. vs. Inequality in Indonesia

One of the questions that Valerie posted on the board in class today was "Where do you see inequality in the world around you?” Having spent my first 10 years in Indonesia, a third-world country in Southeast Asia, and the last 10 years in the U.S., “the world around me” involves my experience with inequality in both countries. The inequality I have experienced in the U.S. is apparent from our SESI trip to East St. Louis. It is interesting to see that, even though East St. Louis and St. Louis ar… Continue
